A series of collages about Detroit’s industries of the past and shift into new directions in the future.

Concept
The pieces address how the industry has changed over the years, comparing and contrasting what it once was and what it is today. The project came about from reading an article on a Detroit auto plant closing, and an interest in the old structures nearby. All locations were researched and photographed, then collaged with an image found from local archives of Detroit’s past.
