826 National is a non-profit organization that has writing centers across the country. They serve K-12 students with their after school tutoring programs and are known for their fun, quirky storefronts.

Brief
Create an identity for a theoretical 826 tutoring center in Charleston, South Carolina.
Concept
Taking both inspiration from the mythical creatures and legends that surround Charleston’s history and visual cues from supermarket sign painting, the result ended up being a paranormal grocer to excite students of all ages. All imagery and icons were hand drawn with a lettering marker and then scanned in digitally, so as to not lose the handmade quality.
